Deathflash's Pride x Native Gold
By a G1 Sprinter and out of a Proven Brood, Tayo is well capable of the career we hope for him. A gentle and kind character, Tayo is one of the easiest youngsters to handle in The Barn; however alert and intelligent, his cool head and laid back nature make him an absolute pleasure to have around. Most presume him a gelding at handling, and it often comes as quite the surprise when people are encouraged otherwise. A total gentleman, his nature does show somewhat on the track, and although he is not fierce, he has the confidence and level focus to do well regardless. He's very tolerating and very forgiving; in both humans and horses. What seems to be the silly decision to not react to dominating horses pushing, is actually a very desirable quirk when it comes to the track and he's happy to be followed from behind. Don't get me wrong, he will get slightly fizzy and jog but he is never silly. Dirt: Great Turf: Okay Distance: 5-8 furlongs Leg Type: Mid-Pack Progeny: None Buybacks: Cavallo |

Barn Name: Tayo Age: Two (Y12) Breed: Thoroughbred Colour: Grey (Black) Markings: Two Socks, Darker Pigment on Face Height: 16 hh Gender: Colt Race Record: 3-0-1-1 Workout/Training Posts: True to his personality, Tayo likes the company of the pack during a race; however his intelligent and willing-to-please nature will still give him the determined edge to remain at the forefront of the group, doing all he can to avoid being boxed in. He thrives in a large field, of course still capable of taking a win with just a few runners but if there's a good-sized pack to stick to he is absolutely in his element. His breaks are average, but he can usually make up for a slower start fairly quickly, due to his desire to remain with the group. He doesn't shoot to the front in bursts of speed as so many horses do, but rather makes a gradual increase in speed around the half-way mark, where his good stamina will help him to escalate in pace; pushing him to hover head-to-head with the horse in the lead, and usually taking a win by little more than a heads length. He shows adequate promise of speed, and his desire to please will push him to great lengths in an effort to take the win. Racing Results: Maiden TWO YEAR OLD SEASON
